We are an interior and lifestyle brand born from a passion for traveling around the world. With flagship stores in Antwerp and Bali, we embody a coastal lifestyle that is rooted in handmade, environmentally friendly and fair trade principles. Our collection includes everything from lamps to mirrors, from furniture to tableware and from cushions to beautiful decorative pieces. Bazar Bizar is more than a brand - our style is loved by customers all over the world. We ship from Europe and Asia to the world's coolest shops, hotels, restaurants, beach bars, architects and much more.

The people behind Bazar Bizar are Pascale Pelsmaekers and Eddy Roothaert. While owner Pascale takes care of the creative side of the business and is also the public 'face' of the label, her husband Eddy takes care of the logistics. As world travelers, the couple had already seen many sights, but Indonesia felt like a 'homecoming'. They fell in love with the country, the Balinese culture, the traditional craftsmanship and the people. This is how they came up with the idea of ​​starting a webshop for unique furniture and original decorative objects, made by Balinese housewives. Each item is unique and has its own story to tell. In the meantime, the couple have developed their own label and design and create their own collections of high-quality and luxurious decorative accents and homewares. They travel to Indonesia four to five times a year, where they already have a team of Balinese employees.

All items are (hand)made in a sustainable way and it is also a way to support the local Balinese economy. Because Pascale and Eddy take care of the entire production process themselves, they also keep control over it: from production to delivery. They pay special attention to good working conditions, high-quality workmanship and guarantee fair wages for their workers. This means that everything "Bazar Bizar" offers is both ecological and fair trade, and in the future... they plan to keep it that way.

Onze collectie omvat alles van lampen tot spiegels, van meubels tot muurdecoratie en van kussens tot prachtige decoratiestukken. Bazar Bizar is meer dan een merk - onze stijl is geliefd bij klanten over de hele wereld. We verzenden vanuit Europa en Azië naar 's werelds coolste winkels, hotels, restaurants, strandtenten, architecten en nog veel meer.

De mensen achter Bazar Bizar zijn Pascale Pelsmaekers en Eddy Roothaert. Terwijl eigenares Pascale voor de creatieve kant van de zaak zorgt en ook het publieke 'gezicht' van het label is, zorgt haar man Eddy voor de logistiek. Als wereldreizigers had het koppel al veel bezienswaardigheden gezien, maar Indonesië voelde als een 'thuiskomst'. Ze werden verliefd op het land, de Balinese cultuur, het traditionele vakmanschap en de mensen. Zo kwamen ze op het idee om een webshop te beginnen voor unieke meubels en originele decoratieve voorwerpen, gemaakt door Balinese huisvrouwen. Elk item is uniek en heeft zijn eigen verhaal te vertellen. Enkele voorbeelden van items die we maken:

Ondertussen heeft het echtpaar hun eigen label ontwikkeld en ontwerpen en creëren ze hun eigen collecties van hoogwaardige en luxe decoratieve accenten en huishoudelijke artikelen. Vier tot vijf keer per jaar reizen ze naar Indonesië, waar ze al een team van Balinese medewerkers hebben.

Alle items zijn (hand)gemaakt op een duurzame manier en bovendien is het een manier om de lokale Balinese economie te ondersteunen. Omdat Pascale en Eddy het hele productieproces zelf verzorgen, houden ze er ook controle over: van productie tot levering. Ze besteden bijzondere aandacht aan goede arbeidsomstandigheden, een hoogwaardige afwerking en garanderen eerlijke lonen voor hun arbeiders. Dit betekent dat alles wat "Bazar Bizar" aanbiedt zowel ecologisch als fair trade is, en in de toekomst ... zijn ze van plan om dat zo te houden.
